Prof. Dr. med. Ulrich Fischer-Rasokat Cardiology Private Practice

“Welcome to my private cardiology practice in Frankfurt am Main Sachsenhausen. I grew up in Seelbach (Baden-Württemberg) and completed my medical studies with a doctorate at the University of Freiburg i. Breisgau in 2003. Subsequently, my career path as research assistant led me to the University Hospital in Frankfurt am Main, where I completed my specialist training as an internist. In 2011 I moved to the Kerckhoff Clinic in Bad Nauheim, where I found an excellent role model and mentor in Director Prof. Dr. Christian Hamm. After my residency in cardiology, I was appointed Senior Physician and in 2020 Managing Senior Physician of the Department of Cardiology.

Here I managed the echo labs and coordinated advanced imaging with CT and MRI. Further within the area of cardiac imaging, I took over the responsibility of Senior Physician for the Special Consultation Service for Valve Diseases as well as the program for the interventional treatment of mitral and tricuspid valve diseases (MitraClip, TricuClip).

One focus of my scientific work is the diagnosis of patients with aortic valve stenosis. I am particularly interested in the interplay between hemodynamics and echocardiographic functional parameters and have specialized in the detection of concomitant heart failure in elderly patients and treatment by interventional valve replacement (TAVI). The resulting publications I have co-authored have been incorporated into European guidelines. In 2022, I was awarded an adjunct professorship at Justus Liebig University Giessen. Since 2020, I have also been responsible for the training of medical students as Lecturer at the Kerckhoff Campus.“
