During our cardiological check-ups, we determine the status quo of your heart health by means of an electrocardiogram (ECG), exercise electrocardiogram, and echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound). We examine your heart valves and the pumping power of your heart as well as the blood flow and the condition of your vessels.
Check-up & Prevention
Long-term blood pressure measurement and long-term ECG
We have the latest medical equipment at our disposal for obtaining a comprehensive overview of your blood pressure situation as well as for the clarification of cardiac arrhythmias and symptoms such as palpitations, fainting spells, or dizziness.
Echocardiography
As head of the echo laboratories at the Kerckhoff Clinic in Bad Nauheim for many years, Prof. Fischer-Rasokat has extensive expertise in the field of echocardiography. With a great deal of understanding for your concerns, he reliably tests for early functional limitations of the heart. Transesophageal (swallow) echo examinations are carried out in a relaxed and anxiety-free environment.
Carotid Doppler Ultrasound
Carotid Doppler is the name given to an ultrasound examination of the carotid artery. It is a particularly effective diagnostic method for the early detection of vascular calcification and thus essential for stroke and heart attack prevention.
Pulmonary Function Test
Symptoms such as shortness of breath at rest or during exercise do not always have a cardiac origin. With our special lung function test, we check the capacity and function of your lungs in order to be able to rule out that impaired lung function might be responsible for your symptoms.
Spiroergometry
Spiroergometry enables the simultaneous measurement of ECG, blood pressure, and respiratory gases while on an exercise bicycle. As a result, we can reliably analyze your cardiopulmonary capacity at different performance levels and can detect deficits at an early stage or plan for your build-up in performance.
Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI
For optimal diagnostics, we visualize your coronary arteries non-invasively and three-dimensionally with state-of-the-art cardiac CT at our partner clinic (Bethanien Hospital, Frankfurt am Main). Cardiac MRI, which we also perform at Bethanien Hospital, provides additional important information far beyond that obtained from cardiac ultrasound and thus can reveal already active but still asymptomatic disease.
Cardiac Catheter Examination
If our non-invasive examination procedures provide an indication of a circulatory disorder in your heart, a cardiac catheter examination can make your coronary arteries visible and, if necessary, constrictions can be widened by means of stent implantation. Cardiac catheter examinations are carried out at our partner clinic (Bethanien Hospital, Frankfurt am Main).
Heart Valve Consultation | Second Opinion on Heart Valve Surgery
With increasing age, various diseases of the heart valves can occur: for example, narrowing of the aortic valve (aortic stenosis) or leakage of the mitral valve (mitral regurgitation). A defective heart valve does not always need to be replaced immediately, but some patients can benefit from prompt treatment. As the long-standing head of a special consultation service for valve diseases at the Kerckhoff Clinic in Bad Nauheim, Prof. Fischer-Rasokat can draw on his wealth of experience to provide a second opinion as to whether surgery is necessary in your case. In addition, we will provide you with information on new, less invasive treatment methods (TAVI and MitraClip), and minimally invasive procedures (MitraClip) can be performed by Prof. Fischer-Rasokat at our partner clinic.
