SPIROERGOMETRY

Spiroergometry is a combination of spirometry and ergometry. By simultaneously measuring ECG, blood pressure, and pulse as well as respiratory gases, we can reliably analyze your performance levels and can thus detect performance deficits as well as functional limitations of the heart and lungs at an early stage.

With the help of spiroergometry, we can determine in our cardiology practice the maximum performance that your body can achieve. In addition, this diagnostic procedure also allows us to better assess the interaction of the organs involved in providing performance, such as the lungs, heart, circulation, and muscles. For this purpose, a modern bicycle ergometer is available in our practice. While this gradually increases performance, we measure parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and respiratory volume as well as the respiratory gases oxygen and carbon dioxide while also directly recording a stress ECG. The result: an optimal analysis of your performance level.

Range of services for spiroergometry:

  • Spiroergometry on the bicycle ergometer
  • Measurement of heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, respiratory volume, and respiratory gases
  • Stress ECG included
