Cardiac CT
For optimal diagnostics, we can also visualize your coronary arteries with high-resolution computed tomography (CT) in our partner clinic (Bethanien Hospital, Frankfurt am Main). This modern X-ray diagnostic procedure uses a state-of-the-art, high-end CT scanner, which is one of the most modern devices in terms of radiation dose, resolution detail, and speed.
The advantage: Due to its fast rotation, the complete vascular tree of your coronary arteries can be visualized three-dimensionally within a few seconds with this device. Even the slightest calcifications or plaques can be visualized non-invasively and with a reduced radiation dose.

Cardiac MRI
Cardiac MRI, which we also perform at Bethanien Hospital, also provides additional important information that goes beyond that obtained with cardiac ultrasound and thus also reveals already active but still asymptomatic diseases.
Cardiac MRI offers the possibility of a precise analysis of heart muscle tissue. For example, a cardiac MRI scan can be used to detect disease states such as inflammation or the accumulation of collagen in the heart muscle at an early stage. For patients with vascular risk factors (diabetes, high blood pressure, or disorders of lipid metabolism), cardiac MRI enables the measurement of blood flow to the heart muscle – for example, the coronary arteries can be visualized without the need for cardiac catheterization.
